DIY Mani/Pedi Steps

To prep your nails, wash and dry your hands. Place a towel on a flat surface. Saturate cotton ball or cotton pad with our Jojoba RYSe™ Soy Polish Remover. Wipe all nails FIRST and allow remover to absorb in the nail for at least 15 seconds. Massage our Jojoba RYSe™ Soy Polish Remover onto your nail beds and cuticles, until nail lacquer and debris are gone. CAUTION: Nail polish remover may damage any surface.
If applicable, clip your nails to your desired length. Next, file your nails into your desired shape by filing in one direction only to prevent breakage.

DID YOU KNOW? Glass files are gentler on the nail, helps seal the keratin into the edge of your nails as you file, resulting in less chipping, peeling, and overall breakages. Be careful not to drop or hit the nail file or hard surfaces because they will break.
If you're using an emery nail file, use a fine grit nail buffer to bevel underneath the nail to smooth out any debris caused by filing.

Soak nails in warm water for 5-10 minutes to soften cuticles, and dab dry. You can also apply a small amount of cuticle oil to each cuticle and let that sit for about 5 minutes. Push back your cuticles with a wooden cuticle pusher (aka orange stick) and remove hangnails.
DID YOU KNOW? Your cuticles protect your nails from bacteria and keep them soft, so avoid cutting them.
Exfoliate your hands (optional).

Now buff your nails with a nail buffer, not an emery board.
Shine your nails beds with the smooth side of the buffer.
To prime the nail surface, apply 91% alcohol with a nail polish, makeup, paint brush, or cotton ball.

Apply one coat of either of our RYSessentials™ Solid Foundation Base Coats. TIP: Apply first down the middle and then one on each side for complete coverage. Let each coat dry at least 2 minutes. Repeat this method with the nail lacquer.
Apply two coats of our highly pigmented RYS® Nail Lacquer of your choice. If you're feeling extra creative, add a design with a different shade of lacquer and your favorite nail art tool! Let it dry.
Apply our RYSessentials™ Clear Confirmation Top Coat to enhance your creation with a little shine. Let it dry.
DID YOU KNOW? Using the nail polish brush to polish the tip of the nail horizontally, prevents the nail polish from chipping. Doing the same with the top coat seals the manicure.

Next, to clean excess nail polish from around your nail plates and cuticle area with a q-tip or orange stick, and our Jojoba RYSe™ Soy Polish Remover.
Finally, apply our RYSessentials™ Lavender Love or Citrus Me™ Cuticle Oil to each nail and gently massage it into your cuticles.
